~campus activism~

I think I'm in a visual mood lately. I was walking around campus yesterday, and saw an organized petition to remove the McDonalds french fry vending machine that was recently installed on campus. It seemed a disingenuous attempt at campus activitism. I whipped up this editorial comic to respond.

Whether it is successful or not, I don't know. I like the sense of stasis across panels, at least. Regardless, I enjoyed the process and have several ideas for other pieces with the same "filter" aesthetic. It also fits in with my blogging practice; the response was immediate and off-the-cuff, and the whole process took about 30 minutes to complete. Maybe I'll do these more regularly as a feature here ... we'll see.

How bizarre. I've never heard of a french fry vending machine. I like your visual commentary on it, though. Seems there are other issues that might meirt greater attention.
