I was listening to Talk of the Nation, and an Iowa Dean supporter was talking about how she and many young people in Iowa are switching allegiance to Edwards. I like Edwards a lot--both issue-wise and person-wise. I tend to agree that he may steal a lot of Dean's thunder.
Dean's campaign is about digital handshaking*. Edwards' is about personal handshaking**. And that may be the difference.
* He uses digital communications technologies to introduce himself to his voters, and those technologies use processes of handshaking to communicate amongst themselves.
** He is a Southern politician--and that means meet & greet at the meat & three.
